Mo Elleithee
Partner (Currently on leave of absence from Hilltop and is Communications Director at the Democratic National Committee.)

Mo Elleithee is a founding partner of Hilltop Public Solutions, a Washington, DC-based public affairs and political consulting firm. Mo is a nationally-recognized communications strategist who has been involved in some of the most high-profile Democratic campaigns of the past fifteen years.

At Hilltop, Mo focuses on strategic communications and political campaigns, advising Democratic candidates and progressive interest groups on message development and strategy.

During the 2008 presidential election, Mo was Senior Spokesman and Traveling Press Secretary for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, where he served as lead spokesman on the campaign plane, interfacing between the candidate and her traveling press corps. He also played key roles in the two previous presidential cycles, as New Hampshire Communications Director for Wes Clark (2004) and Bill Bradley (2000).

Mo has also been a key communications strategist for local and statewide candidates across the country including Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) successful campaigns for Senate and Governor, Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.), former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, and numerous other campaigns in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Virginia.

He's advised a number of Democratic Party committees, helping the Democratic Party of Virginia take back the State Senate in 2007, managing the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee's 2006 Independent Expenditure campaign in Virginia against then-Senator George Allen, and assisting the DSCC's efforts in the 2010 Connecticut Senate race on behalf of Richard Blumenthal.

Mo serves on the faculty of Georgetown University's Public Policy Institute, where he teaches a graduate-level course on Campaign Management and Strategy. He received his undergraduate degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and his Master of Arts from The Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University.

He is a frequent commentator on CNN, MSNBC, PBS and FOX News, and can often be found at Georgetown basketball games cheering on his beloved Hoyas. Mo lives in Washington, DC with his wife Tali, and their daughter Sadie.
